Dear Louisiana, you’re invited to a brand new way to create:

Climate

Culture

Climate Culture NOLA is a movement to bring together artists, engineers, community organizations, businesses, local government, and individuals to collectively reach for a brighter future. Together, New Orleans can lead urban climate adaptation.

We’re using art’s activating power to construct culture around environmental solutions.

Our mission is simple: Spark intersectional collaborations to design New Orleans’ future through culture-led climate conversations.

Our last event:

100 people sitting in audience at Music Box Village

Music Box

Village

January 25th

4pm - 9pm

In the face of the ongoing challenges of coastal erosion, flooding, and now blizzards -  we’re here to find creative solutions through collaboration, innovation, and the power of community action.

Amplifying climate action through art that engages and educates the community.

Through art, science, and collective community action, we aim to reshape how we think about our environment and our role in its stewardship. We are the people and have all the resources between us to adapt and shape a new paradigm.

What if artists used new materials to build public objects:

  1. Educating

  2. Interfacing

  3. Activating

How are we building sustainable communities?

How are we building sustainable communities?

Public artworks will educate, inspire, and center solutions.

Give artists the keys to lead in solving local environmental challenges. Salon conversations go beyond just talkingβ€”they create tangible actions and partnerships that help solve real-world problems.

Public art is the key in adjusting how New Orleans influences its community. Sign up to be notified about our salon dates and details about involvement.

Climate Culture NOLA

Core Pillars

Our work is grounded in three core pillars:

  1. Culture bearers are our most powerful agents of changeβ€”we believe that artists, musicians, and cultural leaders hold the power to shift public opinion and engage the broader community in meaningful climate conversations.

  2. Diverse perspectives make better solutionsβ€”our strength lies in collaboration. The more perspectives we bring to the table, the more impactful our solutions will be.

  3. Community is our SUPER powerβ€”we are stronger when we come together. We have all the resources we need within our community to build a sustainable future. We don’t need to wait for someone else to save us; we take care of ourselves, together.
